Description
CASTROL TRIBOL™ 1730 is a unique Chain Oil developed for normal temperatures and peak temperatures up to
150°C. It shows excellent affinity for metal surfaces and has outstanding penetration characteristics. Special
antiwear additives provide supreme lubrication properties in boundary and mixed friction areas.
• CASTROL TRIBOL 1730 Chain Oil is formulated from a blend of synthetic esters and selected mineral oil. This
guarantees high oxidation stability even at elevated temperatures.
• Rust and Oxidation inhibitors protect chains from corrosion at standstill and extend the lubricant life.
Application
CASTROL TRIBOL 1730 is used for lubrication of conveyor and power transmission chains at room temperatures
or elevated temperatures in moist environments. It can be applied by drip-, spray- or brush or used in automatic
lubrication systems.

• Controlled volatility characteristics of CASTROL TRIBOL 1730 mean that the amount applied can often be
reduced and/or the interval between reapplication can be extended.
• The self-cleaning action of CASTROL TRIBOL 1730 reduces the need to stop production to periodically clean
equipment. CASTROL TRIBOL 1730 also tends to dissolve and facilitate the removal of carbonaceous residues
left by previous lubricants.
• CASTROL TRIBOL1730 Chain Oil is compatible with NBR sealing material and is proven and approved by
leading automatic lubrication system manufacturers.
