DESCRIPTION
CASTROL TRIBOL
®
FoodProof 1840 Food Machinery Hydraulic Oils are high-performance hydraulic
oils, formulated especially to meet the stringent requirements of USDA "H1" approval and they are
designed for use in the food & beverage industry, where incidental contact with food is possible.
They are for use in all hydraulic systems, particularly where exceptional antiwear properties and
oxidation stability are required.
Available in ISO viscosity grades 22, 32, 46 and 68, CASTROL TRIBOL
®
FoodProof 1840 Food
Machinery Hydraulic Oils meet the requirement for "H1" approval by the US Department of Agriculture
and are suitable for use where incidental contact with food is possible.
CASTROL TRIBOL
®
FoodProof 1840 Food Machinery Hydraulic Oils are antiwear hydraulic oils with
exceptional oxidation stability, which often prolongs life of the oil in hydraulic systems.
Foaming is controlled by the use of special components and inhibitors.
APPLICATIONS
CASTROL TRIBOL
®
FoodProof 1840 Food Machinery Hydraulic Oils are for use in hydraulic systems,
where antiwear and anti-oxidation properties are required. CASTROL TRIBOL
®
FoodProof 1840/22 is
also particularly suited for use in air compressors and lubrication for pneumatic systems.
CASTROL TRIBOL
®
FoodProof 1840/32 is suitable as a multipurpose lubricant in the food industry and
may be used as a chain oil for the lubrication of chain drives and transport chains, where an outstanding
penetrating lubricant with good antiwear and ageing characteristics are required.
