Description
Castrol Optitemp™ PG 1.5 is a fully synthetic lithium thickened grease with a polyglycol base fluid. It is designed for
lifetime lubrication of elastomers and plastic components.
Application
Optitmep PG 1.5 is designed for the lifetime/extended lubrication of steel/plastic or plastic/plastic components. It used
as an Assembly aid in vehicle manufacturing in the armature area, to lubricate sliding surfaces and has good noise
damping. Optitemp has excellent compatibility with EPDM, and can be used as an oil seal (Simmerringen). Operating
temperature ranges from -40 °C to +140 °C
Advantages
Silicone free which avoids paint compatibility issues (described as "fish-eyes").
Compatible with many plastics and elastomers (e.g. EPDM), can be used with a wide range of components.
Aging/shear resistance with leads to longer operating life.
Adhesive with good water stability means lubricant does not wash out.
Good sealing properties.
